John K. Ayers
Founder/Chairman

John is the Founder of LeapLab and its related group of companies. As a serial entrepreneur he has been involved in the startup and sales of several companies ranging from designing medical devices to web-based distribution platforms. In March, 2005 John co-founded and acted as CEO for Carescripts, an electronic prescription and marketing platform enabling patients quick and easy access to filling a prescription provided by their physicians.

John formed the LeapLab Group in 1999, with the focus on technology marketing. His vision and guidance have placed LeapLab as a respected leader in a rapidly evolving industry. John currently resides in the Phoenix area with his wife, Jennifer and son, Dane. John is also the President of the Arizona Chapter of the Entrepreneur Organization (EO). John also has a passion for soccer and enjoys playing and coaching in the Phoenix area.


Jeffrey Peterson
CEO

Jeffrey is the CEO of LeapLab and its related group of companies. An experienced technology entrepreneur and software engineer, who has been involved in the programming and operations of computers and digital communications since the late 1970’s. Jeffrey is considered the pioneer of Hispanic Internet in the United States.

In 1997, Jeffrey founded Quepasa.com, the first major online community to focus on U.S. Hispanic Internet users. On June 24 of 1999, Quepasa went public on the Nasdaq Stock Market. By the end of the day, Quepasa was worth $272 million. A year later, Quepasa was named the most popular online destination for U.S. Hispanics, ahead of competitors Starmedia and Yahoo! Espaņol. In July 2001, Peterson founded Internet search company Vayala Corporation, a developer of large scale dynamic search technologies, in 2002 Vayala was acquired by Quepasa.

In November 2006 Jeffrey joined us as a co-founder of Sitesearch Corporation and has been the Chairman of our Board of Directors since April of 2008. Jeffrey received national and international recognition for his accomplishments in the technology sector and currently serves on the board of directors of several privately held technology related companies in both the United States and Latin America.


Stephan Muth
Chief Operations Officer

As LeapLab’s Chief Operation Officer, Stephan is responsible for day-to-day operations as well as developing and executing the company’s short term and long term strategic plans. Stephan brings more than 12 years of professional experience in Financial and Operational Management to LeapLab’s Executive Team. An employee since 2002, Stephan's insight, industry knowledge and “outside the box” thinking has been invaluable to the company’s success and profitability.

Prior to LeapLab, Stephan served proudly in the United States Army as a Noncommissioned Officer with the 82nd Airborne Division. His various infantry leadership positions culminated with a promotion to Company NCOIC managing the operations and training of over 130 combat ready personnel. In 2001 Stephan was honorably discharged from the Army and soon after became a member of the LeapLab family.

Stephan earned his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 1997 while working at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport in Ramp Operations for FedEx. In his spare time, Stephan is an avid pastry chef, loyal Denver Broncos fan, and a proud husband and father to his wife, Jamie and their daughter, Sydney.


Joe Matusak
VP Sales/Business Development

Joe is the Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Joining us this year, Joe brings with him over 20 years experience in sales, management, and business development. Most recently, Joe spent three years as the Strategic Accounts Manager for LaVoz Publishing, a division of Gannett Corporation focusing on the Arizona Hispanic marketplace. Prior to that, he held the position of National Sales Director with Quepasa.com leading the way in Hispanic internet marketing.

Joe is an enthusiastic and dedicated member of our team. He is very well versed in the Arizona and US Hispanic Marketplaces, bringing with him a passion for building strong long lasting relationships, which is essential in the strategic planning and future growth of our company.


Gerry Magallan
Project Development Manager

Gerry has more than 20 years experience in the fields of Information Technology and management. Gerry came to Leaplab after 14 years as a Technology Support Analyst Principle at Arizona State University. At ASU, Gerry developed and ran the online learning department for the Herberger College of the Arts, which is now part of the ASU Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. Gerry was instrumental in creating the online exam system still in use by several of the online courses at Herberger, as well as many of the systems used by faculty and students who are involved with current Herberger online course offerings. Gerry's primary role in the Herberger online learning department was as Project Manager and team leader.

Gerry's introduction into the field of technology comes by way of his studies in Arts technology at Illinois State University, where he earned both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Music. In 1993, Gerry's work in Arts technology lead him to work for Daise music publications, a Brazilian music publishing company that also runs several keyboard courses out of Sao Paulo Brazil.

Gerry also has several years of experience as a retail sales manager for the Endicott Johnson corporation and has worked as a professional musician and songwriter.


Katie Hecker
Marketing Manager

Katie is the Marketing Manager at LeapLab and its related group of companies. She is a goal driven and dedicated professional offering inspired marketing and project management skills. Katie graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors degree in Business and Sociology. Through college she had many internships as well as working at a web design firm gaining knowledge in client relationships, marketing and user experiences for e-commerce programs.

In February of 2008 she started at LeapLab as the Marketing Project Manager to facilitate project and marketing plans, from inception to completion, in the areas of website development, web analytics, online marketing and SEO. Katie excelled in her role and a year later was promoted to the Marketing Manger in February of 2009. Katie continues to support the internal team by analyzing competing offers, enhancing design and copy elements, reviewing and testing offers. She also acts as the key point of contact for multiple client accounts from development proposal, through implementation and project launch.
